The veteran has put up a batting average of 258 with 31 home runs, 57 runs batted in, and 92 total hits through his first 95 appearances this year. Will the Yankees be able to put together a strong enough package to pry Goodman away from Colorado? Only time will tell, but it is the kind of move that shows we are serious about contending.
The real hurdle for the Yankees is that landing a player like Goodman could demand a massive haul in return via trade, according to Jorge Castillo from ESPN.
