According to the affidavit filed by Mandan Police, officers were called to a residence on South Frontier Trail on Thursday evening following a report that a mother had stabbed her children. When police arrived, the situation inside the house was already extremely serious. An officer reportedly found Erhart covered in blood and holding a kitchen knife against her own throat. Investigators say she dropped the knife after officers confronted her and told them to kill her. She was subsequently taken into custody.
